PASTOR
My name is Bobby Lee Snell III (although I am known by all as Chance) and I am from Staunton Virginia and was born in 1993. I recently graduated from The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in May 2024. I am invested in pastoral care and missions, particularly focusing on how these overlap with community formation. I will look to find ministry work that allows me to focus on those vocations in all aspects of my life. I have attended Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church for all of my life. I was baptized in that church as a child and I was confirmed in that church when I was 13. As an adult, I was a youth advisor and was also a deacon. After graduating from high school, I attended Blue Ridge Community College and completed my Associate’s Degree in Administration of Justice. After finishing my Youth Adult Volunteer year I began attending the University of Dubuque to finish my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in May of 2020 and then immediately started seminary the following Fall. While at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary I have done graduate work with campus ministry, teaching college students, completing research studies, facilitating seminary worship services, and leading community formation among the seminary student body. I also did an internship with my home church Tinkling Spring and was able to learn about youth ministry and talked with pastors about the effects of COVID on their congregations. In the summer of 2023 and 2024, I worked on Ministry Team at Montreat Conference Center.
